STARTING THOSE BACKYARD PROJECTS

If you haven’t started already, it’s time to dive into the plans for your garden, flowers, and backyard. Spring means bringing all of those projects to life and creating a sanctuary that you and your family can call home. Check out our blog post on Transforming Your Outdoor Space.

We wanted to share a few of our favorite tips to enjoy being outside this summer. 

• Start a garden. There is nothing more satisfying than growing your food. It is a great skill to teach your children, as well. 
• Go for hikes along the many trails in Calgary. Calgary offers so many incredible trails that you can hike or even bike. Nothing says spring and summer more than backyard parties especially if you have a swim spa in your backyard. Here are some entertainment essentials to have.

• Beautiful outdoor area. If you haven’t yet checked out our post on how to transform your backyard, now is the time to do it. To get the most enjoyment out of your backyard, you want to have a beautiful area where you can cook, play, and eat. 
• Create Al Fresco dining experiences. Host memorable al fresco dining experiences by incorporating unique elements like a BBQ tasting menu, a DIY pizza station, or a farm-to-table dinner featuring locally sourced ingredients. Now that we dove into some tips to enjoy the spring and summer, here is what we have going on to celebrate the arrival of spring.

Continuing to give back to our community

May is the last month that Stand ASA will be our Calgary nonprofit that we are donating to. This is the perfect ending because May is Sexual Violence Awareness Month in Alberta. 

Stand ASA (Stand Against Sexual Assault) is a Calgary nonprofit that is building a community of support, so no survivor has to stand alone. They have three overarching goals which are:

• Preventing sexual assault through education and community awareness.
• Providing peer support to survivors of sexual assault.
• Promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being through holistic healing practices.

Our goal is to raise $2,500 for Stand ASA. We have a few ways that we are supporting this organization. They are as follows:

• To support this organization, for every hot tub or swim spa that we sell, $50 will be donated to them. If the customer would like to donate more, they are more than welcome to do so. 
• Any of our customers can donate to them using this link and will directly give the money to the organization. We will be creating a wall of names of anyone who donates.
