Radiant Heat Reflection.

MAAX believes in taking advantage of every waft of heat generated by your hot tub. Your spa’s pump, for example, works hard moving water throughout your hot tub. As a side effect, it generates quite a bit of heat. Instead of allowing that heat to be wasted and vented into the air like traditional foam insulated spas, MAAX has carefully lined their spas with reflective copper material. This copper lines all four walls, the floor, and MAAX brand covers, and it reflects heat back into the water, making Maax Spas the most energy efficient spas that meet or exceed standards from California to Sweden.

 

Recycled Natural Insulation.

MAAX chooses to use their own eco-friendly BlueMAAX® insulation. Made from recycled natural fibers, BlueMAAX® insulation is approved by the US Green Building Council and contains no chemical irritants. It is also highly resistant to fire, pests, and mould. Maax has moved away from conventional urethane foam that is used by most manufacturers. While these foams are effective, they emit volatile organic compounds (VOCs). While VOCs might have the word “organic” in it, that doesn’t mean they’re healthy! In chemistry, organic means belonging to the same chemical family as oil and formaldehyde. VOCs are hazardous to human life and harmful to the environment.

 

NASA Approved Northern Exposure Insulation.
